NEWS ON UPCOMING MUSICAL EVENTS
LEAMINGTON PUB IN THE PARK IS HERE TO BRIGHTEN UP OUR SUMMER
JUNE 30TH - JULY 2ND 2023
(PUBLISHED ON THE HOT MUSIC LIVE WEB SITE - Gig guide and magazine for local live music in Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull)

Victoria Park comes alive this summer with great food, chef demos, pub set ups and fabulous live music a perfect combination happening over the weekend of 30th June - 2nd July with sessions/tickets available for Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening and Lazy Sunday.
The music all through the festival has a real retro, fun vibe and has been carefully chosen to please most tastes and keep the whole event upbeat.
On Friday we have ‘The Beatles Dub Club’ a DJ set featuring the music of the Fab 4, have watched a few snippets from their Glastonbury set and looks like great fun while headlining on Friday one of my favourite 80’s pop bands ‘Bananarama’ I can remember in the 80’s having their music in my record collection next to my Motorhead, Thin Lizzy etc (cannot rock out all the time!) and they are sure to perform many wonderful hits from their huge back catalogue.
Saturday afternoon rocks it up with ‘Toploader’ well known for the mega hit ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ after another DJ set this time provided by Children’s TV legends ‘Dick and Dom’, for Saturday evening we have ‘Deco’ and their original takes and mashups of classic tunes before ‘Ronan Keating’ takes to the stage with a set of classics from his time with Boyzone, hits from his solo career and maybe some surprise covers.
For what is billed as Lazy Sunday we have first up chilled 80’s legends ‘The Christians’ followed by the equally laid-back vibes of ‘Soul II Soul Soundsystem’ which is sure to have every one up and dancing.
Of course it is not just live music on offer and top chefs showcasing their skills over the weekend including Si King, Simon Rimmer and Ellen Manning, Pubs setting up on the festival sits include The White Lion and The Drawing Board and more.
There is also a Firepit holding sizzling cooking sessions and a bookshop where you can meet the chefs and pick up a signed book or two.
Sounds like a very special weekend and you can find more info on the Festival website page below
